Mom Corps to the Rescue

January
24

Ever wish you had more hours in the day? Or simply a more flexible work schedule to accommodate your family? An Atlanta-based company may be the answer to your dreams. Moms Corps (www.momcorps.com), recently opened its doors in NYC, and specializes in jobs for experienced professionals who need flexiblibilty and non-traditional career options. (The service also has offices in Chicago, Charlotte and Washington, D.C.)

“For too long, working moms have had an ‘either or or’ choice when it comes to deciding between work and family,” explains Linda Caruso, a former executive at Time Inc. and mom of three. “What drew me to Mom Corps is that from a business standpoint, they meet the growing corporate demand for highly-talented professionals who work on an as-needed basis, while also providing personal and professional satisfaction for moms and others who are able to achieve work-life balance.”

After all, a happy employee makes for a happy mom makes for a happy family….

Mom Corps is a great idea – and long overdue if you ask me. There are so many talented, professional women in Westchester that corporations should be tapping into us. We’ve alreay proved that when it comes to multi-taskig…we rock!

Is this the same MOMS CORPS that I heard about on OPRAH? Do you have any connections in the Pacific Northwest? I am a grandmother and retiree with 30 years of experience, a M.S. Education Administration from Old Dominion University with lots to give. This transplant from the East Coast is challenged by the multicultural environment west of the Mississippi. HELP!
