Taking time for ME!

February
2

It sounds like a Seinfeld episode….I treat myself to a pampering facial only to have my skin break out and turn a blotchy red apparently from some allergic reaction to the $45 cleanser that I was “dumb” enough to buy after the treatment (oh how I hope my husband isn’t reading this today). It’s just funny…..(I can laugh now that my face is back to it’s “normal” shade—wrinkles and all) how the “One Time” I go to treat myself, I end up MORE stressed…just thought I’d share.

    Nothing beats a good massage.

Yes, but don’t give up. As a mom, me time is more important than ever!

    :-)

This reminds me of when I was in White Plains Hospital when I had my daughter. They sent around a “relaxation” duo of volunteers, who offered me a hand massage.

It turned out I was allergic to the smell of the cream they used for the massage. Not relaxing to say the least!

And plus, I don’t know, I just found it a bit odd and not really comfortable to have a “hand” massage. Maybe I’m too used to talking with my hands, but I don’t like them confined. (What’s funny is my year and a half old daughter is the same way.)
