I do not want Jennifer Hudson to lose weight!

March
27

Jennifer Hudson: if you’re listening (or reading my blog): do not lose weight. Stay JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! Seriously: our incredible shrinking celebrities are not doing ANYthing to help our teenage girls self-esteem. Hilary Duff? Used to be “normal,” now anorexic. Same with Lindsey Lohan; Nicole Ritchie, Kiera Knightly and Kate Bosworth. These women are now frightening stick-thin.

With anorexia in teens at an all-time high, it does not help that these young women are who my daughters look up to. When is the world going to listen to the fact that size l0 or 12 or even l6 is beautiful? Hopefully, Ugly Betty’s America Ferrara will lead the way in showing that beauty comes from within. Note to America: DO NOT LOSE WEIGHT either! I have two teenage girls that I’m hoping can learn from you (since they don’t listen to me!).

Maybe she’s not losing weight, but getting in better shape, and losing weight is a consequence. A healthy, normal consequence. It doesn’t matter what she weighs or what she looks like – as long as she’s healthy.

The message of this article is way off base. The message should be to become healthy it doesn’t necessarily mean Jennifer Hudson has to become a size 2 or stay a size 12,14, or 16. The purpose of working out is to be proud of your body and becoming healthy. You can be healthy at 180 or 120 its what you are satisfied with not how everyone else are satisfied with. Fame found her the way she is and they liked her the way she is, if she decides to learn from trainers on how to work out and become healthy that is her business. Sometimes all a person needs is positive people around them to help lose weight and keep that motivation. And some people are more goal oriented to accomplish weight loss on their own. So don’t hate on her if she is becoming healthy and losing weight do the same if you don’t like your body!
